Hang 'Em High

Apparently the snapping turtle is coming of out it's shell, so to speak. I was leaving my house this morning, wondering if he would make an appearance. As soon as I opened the door, he clambered over the divider in the middle of the pond to the other side (with the fish). The fish swim back and forth over this section many times a day, but this was the first I had ever seen the turtle on that side. I am not sure if he has associated me with feeding, or if he even knew I was there. However, he swam within inches of me at the edge and gobbled down food as I fed him and fish. I kept moving the camera closer, but I was smart enough to stay a decent distance away -- I like my fingers!

When I first met Ali's brother and his girlfriend several months ago, they had just come back from rock climbing at Stone Summit. Ali loved climbing and wanted to get back into it. We finally all met up there last night, although I just watched. I know that I won't have that option for long, though -- she is ready to start climbing again. I guess I have a new hobby, huh?

We have done great numbers this week! Ali's uncle Tommy purchased a set of Mavic Ksyrium SL wheels this morning. He buys a custom titanium frame from my shop, introduces me to his niece who I am now dating, and then buys more expensive equipment? That would fall under the "WTF?!" category, I believe! HA!... Am I complaining? Heck no!!!

I am currently finishing  the restoration of an old Schwinn for a customer, but I am caught up otherwise. The shop is running very efficiently, and things could not be better. I have decided to stay in town for the 4th of July. I probably could make the trip to Colorado (believe me, I want to!), but the shop would basically be incapacitated for the week. I am paying my dues now so that I can play whenever I want in the future. That's the theory, anyway! Ali and I will have a great time over that weekend, so I have zero complaints!
