Sick and tired of being sick and tired...

Gunnar Sport frame and fork
Ali is off to New Orleans with her aunt and uncle for amazing food and drink, while I am stuck at the shop... with a miserable cold, no less!!! Argh!!! Oh well. That is how committed I am to the success of my shop. HAHA! Actually, things have been rocking! We have moved dozens of repairs, and several road and mountain bikes have been sold. I received our Gunnar frames for display (they are gorgeous!). Of course, Sprocket was more than happy to pose with the frames!

Niner Jet 9
I am placing our first order from Niner -- we will have a complete Jet 9 bike on display, as well as an Air 9 and and E.M.D. 9. A few months ago I realized that our shop was mostly considered a high-end road shop. The irony is that although I ride both road and mountain bikes, I am definitely more of a mountain biker. I made a conscious effort to change this by first adding Santa Cruz bikes. We IMMEDIATELY saw increased interest in our high-end mountain bikes -- several Santa Cruz bikes have gone out the door in just a few months. Although I have been able to get Niner for a while, I decided that it was also time to invest in having bikes and frames on the floor. I don't just want my store to be one of the "candy stores" in town -- I want it to be THE candy store!!! I have BIG plans for my shop. This is just the beginning, I promise!

Speaking of which, the new garage in the other shop was completed in ONE DAY!!! I found a pile of lumber in front of the door at 10AM last week. By 6PM, Bo and his crew were sweeping up! We have added 300 sq. ft. of storage above, while allowing me to have a parking garage and a personal workshop! I love having my toys, but the shop always comes first. We need all of the space we can get, so I could not park inside without figuring out how to keep the same storage space. I am VERY pleased with the results! I can't wait to build my work bench and start assembling the engine for my KTM!

Nick and Bob are going to be assembling the two 12' tall racks in the shop next door tomorrow. We will be able to store dozens of repairs and all of the extra new bikes. It is amazing how many projects we have going on simultaneously. It doesn't seem that we are getting anywhere on a daily basis, but I am simply astounded when I look back and see how far the shop has come in only four and a half years!

All in all, things are great (other than being sick as a dog!). We have finally reached critical mass, I believe. Every day at least three new customers come through the doors. That is pretty darn amazing, considering the ONLY forms of advertising we utilize are word of mouth and our website. I just believe in good, old-fashioned customer service. It really isn't that difficult...

DEFINITELY worth watching!

Anyone want a slightly used cat? Only $13... HAHA!
